Christopher G. Rohde, founding Member of the Rohde Law Group, LLC, specializes in Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration and Elder Law including Medicaid and Asset Protection Planning and assisting clients with the Medicaid application process and qualification for long term care.

In addition, Christopher handles guardianship matters for special needs individuals and the elderly as well as Estate Planning that includes the preparation of Wills, Trusts, Health Care Directives and Powers of Attorney for clients of all levels of net worth. Mr. Rohde has experience with the formation and administration of special needs trusts.

With his unique background as both a Certified Public Accountant and a specialist in Estate Administration, Mr. Rohde prepares Estate and Inheritance tax returns and handles general tax matters for individuals and businesses. He also advises clients on business planning, including the formation, purchase, sale and transfer of small businesses.

Mr. Rohde is a member of the Tax Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, serves on the Elder Law Committee of the Passaic County Bar Association, and is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a faculty member of the Practicing Law Institute in New York City, wherein he lectures on estate planning and estate administration for attorneys seeking continuing legal education.

He was formerly a partner with the law firm of Piro, Zinna, Cifelli, Paris & Genitempo, in Nutley, New Jersey where he managed the estate & trust department. Earlier, he was a tax consultant with the accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP in New York City. He had also served a one-year judicial clerkship for the Assignment Judge in Passaic County.

He was admitted as a member of the Bar in the State of New Jersey in 1996 and admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court in 1998. He graduated from Seton Hall University, W. Paul Stillman School of Business and Seton Hall School of Law.

When not at the office, Christopher is busy coaching his two children in sports, going to school events and helping his Essex County communities, particularly his home of North Caldwell.
